If you want to in any way at all be a succesful human being, good english is the absolute basic minimal requirement.

passing any language test doesnt mean anything. its proficiency in speaking and writing that matters. its the same case when we complain why should we pass BM?
but in the same time, its the national language of the country and if one isnt able to converse in that language, something is really wrong with that one.
